    Question On Control Arms

    I have been pondering this for a while now, how exactly does an aftermarket control arm improve traction? And also, what are the best ways to improve traction on these 5.0's? Thank you.

    7.5 ring gear for chevy. How strong is it.

    well if its the same as your brothers, malibu which runs 8.40's!!!!, lol, I'm sure its safe to say it will handle a street cruiser. The chevy 10 bolts are good rear ends and take quite a beating.

    It's a pita, It took even longer for me than ECU5.0. My advice is get the haynes repair manual, It will save you time and frustration! Good Luck! :nice:

    This has always irritated me (exhaust back pressure)

    This may be a stupid question, but if there is a vacumn behind the first pulse, which pulls the second pulse, wouldn't the first pulse be pulled backwards, thus being redundant? :shrug:

    4 banger tranny in a 5.0?

    It's sorta hit and miss, I know a couple of guys that have run those tranny's with no problems. Sometimes they are better than a 5.0 t5 because they havent had the piss run out of them yet.

    distinguishing a 7.5 from 8.8?

    8.8 is on the top and as you can see the 7.5 is flat on the top where as the 8.8 is completely round. 7.5's don't handle very much power at all so don't settle for one. I blew a 7.5 with 3.73 gears in a couple of months in my hotrod with a stock 302 :notnice: .

    You can buy any car you like. My advice is research and test drive both vehicles and buy the one you like most. Chevy or Ford, it doesn't really matter, it can still blow the doors off the local ricer.

    Well I went to look at a mustang a few weeks ago who had the same problem that you have, and I talked to some mechanics I know and they said 9 times out of 10 it is the clutch itself, the pressure plate has had its time.
