Any Of The Old Timers Still Here?

I got back on here last year after being gone a decade... or two... how long has it been? I still have my '66 coupe. Sold off the '69 fastback and the '64 Falcon back in 2012. Ended up back here when I bought a '07 GT for my daughter (she wanted a Mustang for a first car.. like her dad). Makes...

    S197 Dd With Kids

Hey - first off it's good to see a stangnet 'oldtimer' on here! I just picked up a 2007 GT for my daughter (her first car). My Kids are 15 and 13 now - so I can relate to the days of booster seats and such. I'm going to be brutally honest - this Mustang would make a terrible daily driver with...

65 Mustang 17 inch wheel question

17x8, 4.75"bs with Nitto NT555 235/45's on all fours on my '66. There's more room in back; but I wanted to be able to rotate tires, and the marginal gain in rubber wasn't going to make a difference in traction.

    65 Rear Suspension Questions

The Rancho part # is RS9204 if you go that way. I have them on my '66. Don't know if they'd do any good without the Calvert split monoleaf springs and the Caltrac traction bars though.

Need a new C4 What about TCI?

I wouldn't worry about it. I figure the shipping/ packing thing was a 1 in a million thing, that's why I didn't call Summit or TCI about it. I don't know if the sound it makes is normal or not for a C-4 with extra clutches, ect - it's the only performace trans I've had. FWIW I trashed 2 stock...

Need a new C4 What about TCI?

I have a TCI Street Fighter C-4 in my '66. Front pump had come part way out during packing/shipping (along with some other parts behind it), had to start my installation by having a local trans shop clean out the cardboard packing fuzz from the case and reassemble. Governor sticks (since...

Roll axle backwards 2in on leaf springs?

Because the 64 Falcon puts the stock tire very close to the front edge of the opening on the quarter panel. Putting on larger diamer tires will either require sheetmetal surgery to enlarge the wheel opening, or relocating the axle backwards. Try calling Calvert Racing - they make split monoleaf...
