    Hi! I just disconnected the emission pump in front of the engine due to a bad bearing. Is it safe, mechanically, to operate the car without it. Remember hearing something from GM's V8 engines that the cylinder tops will overheat if the pump is by-passed? We have no emission laws here, so...
