    13.2 @ 104...

In defense of the '04 GTO's running 13.10's bone stock, Here's a link Thread here are some slips, I still believe '05 GT's will be putting up similar numbers when they get some miles and track time on them.

300HP? Thats It...Whats wrong with Ford

except that the GM pushrod engines have more power and broader torque curves. The modular nature of the engines makes it very easy to upgrade, swap and make big power - but I guess they got it wrong somehow. Sucks that the 50's tech works better  btw - GM has other ohc V8's as well.

Does the 05 GT beat the 02 Z28's and T/A's?

No is doesn't beat them stock, but who cares, buy one and mod the hell out of it.

You could always take the money savings and apply towards power upgrades tailored towards how you want the car setup. These cars will have a huge aftermarket parts offering very soon, they have a lot of potential IMO.

    13.20 @ 104 stock!!

It probably doesn't really matter that much anyway, 'cause soon there will be lots of parts out there for them and many of them won't be stock, just fast.

    13.20 @ 104 stock!!

So in other words, completely stock '05 GT's (no weight reduction) will run 13.1's after they have been taken to the track 5 times and have 2000 miles on them?? I don't think its impossible just not likely. No, but others in this thread typed something like I paid $10k more than an '05 gt...

    13.20 @ 104 stock!!

The very first run was like 14 something - spun all over the place, after that, mid 13's (13.5's-13.6's) that day. I've only taken it to the track 5 or 6 times. Plus I only paid $27k plus 0% for 72 mo, so it wasn't really any more expensive than a GT 'stang. Here's a thread about it over...

    13.20 @ 104 stock!!

Well, to add some fuel to the fire - if you REALLY want to run a 13.2 BONE stock then you could always buy an '04 GTO. Actually I ran a 13.1@106 at Cecil county in mine BONE STOCK. And oh yeah, I didn't remove seat, or jack, or spare, or AC, etc.

two 05 gt`s run at the track... [video]

Thx. I think one of the things fueling the stang GT vs GTO thing is that all the magazines and reviews seem to absolutely LOVE the GT's and say the GTO's are just OK. Now if I hade to compare the two, I would put the GTO on top, but of course, I;m a little biased. As far as performance...

two 05 gt`s run at the track... [video]

Well here's your hook up, I have run my BONE stock '04 GTO in to the 13.20's a couple times. And, in fact, last night at Cecil County, MD dragway last night, I ran a 13.1@106. Yes this is BONE stock, stock air intake, all season bfg's, etc. Just as I drove it off the lot, car ahs 5000 miles...

two 05 gt`s run at the track... [video]

Well, I have run in the 13.20's, 13.30's consistently in my BONE stock '04 GTO. GTO's are going for $26,500 and cheaper. I took 72 months 0% interest and paid $27 for mine. If I didn't take the special financing, it would have $26k. If I line up on a track with a BONE STOCK '05 GT, I will...
