    Follow up: Only one side, the passenger side head was authorized by Ford to be repaired so only one side had the head resurfaced and rebuilt, not both sides........ Car is supposed to be ready today or Friday. I am still going to Lemon Law the car..... no more Fords for me.

    First off, many thanks to all that responded. DO appreciate all of the comments. The dealer has received the new top end rebuilt kit including the new valves, springs, lifters, and cam. The head or heads, will be sent out for resurfacing. Still don't know if they are only doing the passenger...

    Well just got the good news/bad news call from the dealer. The good news: ALL of the parts should be at the dealer by 4 p.m. today. The bad news: ALL of the parts included new pistons, internals for the heads, valves, springs etc, but first the heads will have to go for service to another shop...

    5600 miles and same thing here. There has always been a mild ticking which was noted by one of the TSB's saying some tapping noise is normal and should not be of concern especially if heard from outside the car and coming around the wheel wells. But I know that is NOT what you are talking about...

    Had/have the same problem. Cars been in the shop all week with no word on what is wrong or if or when they can fix it. But it is certainly not what is supposed to happen. Hate to say it but you really need to get it into a dealer who knows what they are doing and who cares.... ;)

    Just have your dealer order, per the TSB, an advance replacement unit. Once that comes in then have your unit exchanged at the dealership. The "B" series still have problems though certainly less then the "A" units....
