fixed my vibration with changing pinion angle

That's really good to hear you found an inexpensive solution. I think I'm going to have to raise the rear of my transmission to get the correct angles, should only cost a few bucks for washers :D

Need advice on purchase: 66 Mustang

Agreed, unless you know what you're doing with bodywork it's always better to buy a car with a good body. Swapping engines, transmissions, etc is a breeze compared to rust repair. And be carefull with rust you can't see, there are stories of bondo'd quarters and everything else, once you start...

    Full 64 resto

Did you drain the gas tank and purge the line of the old gas, change the fuel filter? Are you getting a good spark? Good luck with your restoration, are you leaving it a six? I swapped to an eight but if I had it to do over I would have rebuilt the six.

    Old School Or Electric Fan

I went electric and haven't had any problems, but looking back I would probably go with the traditional fan or fan with clutch for simplicity.

    Thermostat Cover Problems???

I've been using an aluminum housing for a few years on my 302 with the weiand intake without any problems. Make sure the thermostat doesn't slip between the housing and the intake when you install it. For example: Classic Mustang Parts On Line Catalog - Product Description: 64-73...

    66 Headlight questions...

I re-read Mustang Project's description of their LED headlights, they do say the headlights they sell are made by the same manufacturer as the military LED lights but the military uses 24 volt and the mustang application is 12. I don't know how this compares to quality of light but I would think...

    66 Headlight questions...

Looks like firemansam has seen them in action and approves. Depending on how much your mustang is worth to you $600 isn't out of the question when it comes to seeing at night. I have halogens with relays but they aren't as bright as I would like them.

Did you get an alignment after the jump? Is it possible the issue was there but you didn't know? +1 on the Frame Alignment

I used the Painless system in my 66, it gave me a few headaches (emergency flasher) but I'm glad I did it.

Do you drive your classic in the winter?

It looks like you think the scientists are lying to the world. :rlaugh: No snow here so I drive it year round, but not in the rain.

    Resto Mod Question

I wish I would have kept the six in mine. I only use it for cruising and the occasional road trip.

Changing from stock exhoust manifolds on 1965 289 engine to hipo exhaust manifolds

I can't be of any help on that one. I don't believe cars that had hipo manifolds used the heat riser so there might not be a good fix for that.

Changing from stock exhoust manifolds on 1965 289 engine to hipo exhaust manifolds

I don't believe there is a spot on the manifold for the heat riser. You can use copper tubing to make a heat riser by pressing it up against the manifolds with hose clamps, this same method is used with headers.

I have the Flaming River column in my 66, the GM wiring is the only downside.
