all you need is a screwdriver...its located right in front of the gas tank. i did mine in the parking lot of the autozone i bought the filter from. takes two minutes. oh and make sure you have your tires inflated to the right PSI, i put mine a 32 down from 44 which they put when i go tmy...

the real question is what is the car for? daily driving, weekends, or what...if its a DD i would choose to get a newer car, if its not a DD i would keep the Fox and forge the 5.0 and choose the FI of your choice. just my opinion though.

i have been thinking of getting a side exhaust, but i wanted to keep my flowmasters, and i cant find tips to fit into the SVO skirts, so if anyone knows where i an get some let me know....oh, and i found this clip of a V6 with a side exhaust, i saved the video just to show how the pipes were...

that gap is pretty bad, and i doubt you will be able to fix it since it is naturally like that...
