    After re-reading my previous two post, I realized they probably didn't help anyone help me.....so here goes. My problem is the Unisteer bracket that comes with the pump. The bolt that threads into my head is too thick and doesn't fit through the bracket... Maybe I am missing a threaded hole...

    To be clear....my issue is the bracket setup. The brackets that came with the kit don't work with my 302 at all. I have been researching brackets and came across some that might work. Can anyone tell me if they had to do any bracket improvising to get this to work.

    Lower contro arm bent & the bracket as well ?

    Here is a pic Now the pic I found online isn't my car. And it's a pic from the driver's side but you can see what I am talking about. That bracket is bent towards the firewall and I would like to straighten it if I could without having to replace that piece.

    <crickets> The question boils down to this..... Is the bracket that is welded to the frame identical regardless of side. This one is definitely bent and I can't see how it should be this way. What's the name of that bracket ?

    Ok, Like the name implies, I am new guy to fooling around with mustangs. I look a look at my lower control arm on the passenger's side. It's appears to be bent a little and so do the mounting bracket that it bolts through is definitely bent. I don't think they are suppose to be that way...

    I am using the Roller Bearing Idler that I got from cobra automotive... I haven't noticed a difference (at least not a huge difference) and I am sure it's installed correctly. I was thinking of switching to the Moog idler arm if I can't get this better. Any thoughts ?

    I will work on the carb this evening. I think it's flooding out. I will try leaning it out a little and see how that works. My biggest concern is that the choke plate closes completely when I pull the throttle linkage.

    thanks tweet but no thanks. I see no reason to spend more money at this point. That carb I have was rebuilt by Tomco. I think I just need to adjust the choke and I will be fine.
