Yeah - I heard that too... Figured the bfg weren't going to be able to hold up to the s/c... Now I'm keeping my 16's with the Dunlop M3's for winter snow and makes it nice and easy swapping :) You get to spray yet?

They said they are around $25 per tire to NY. Someone else from another post said they just ordered them too after seeing the post and they were charged $101 for all 4 for shipping. It's a great deal ! I couldn;t believe my eyes and jumped on the phone and called in my order - I just wanted...

    Want forced induction?

Prob a bit more than 2500 The Vortech Kit is about $2500 +/-$100 for the SQ Satin version (no AfterCooler) and without injectors/Fuel Pump & Tuner. Then you need to pay for install and dyno etc... Realistic so far looks like it's going to run me about 3700-4000 for total job. I have Dan from...

starting to get cold out there?

Check out my post on my winterizing of the Stang. I just put on 4 Dunlop M3 WinterSport Tires and about 100+ lbs of sand in the trunk. I posted my reviews on this site. I drive the stang through the last couple of inches of snow and it was unreal how well it responded and remained in control.

Installed, Tuned, Dyno'd, Excessive Motorsports Comes Through!

Thanks Jenn - The gears with a tune and with a LSP type diff ( TT or Tlock's) makes this into a whole different ride. It feels stronger than a 5.0 of its day... I got the 3.73 's with the TT because I drive at about 75-80 mph 25+- miles to work each day and wanted something a little less loud...

Installed, Tuned, Dyno'd, Excessive Motorsports Comes Through!

Thanks for the CAI info. It's tough not showing up every weeek with a new toy... these 4.0's take so well to them I agree Drivetrainspecialists do have the best price on the TT and I had it delivered to my house within a week of placing order. Really nice service too. btw - that TT was alot...

Installed, Tuned, Dyno'd, Excessive Motorsports Comes Through!

Sounds great!! 205 HP nice :D Did you get a chance to get any 1/4 or 0-60 times? The exhaust will definitly push you up even higher. The TT and 3.73 make the stang feel alot more solid in the rear and each gear pulls alot harder. How much of a diff do you think the CAI made? I was tossing...

    TrueTrac/Girdle/Gears/Tune Revisited...

Cool man ! I can't wait to see the numbers either. Pretty much the same setup now - You are going to be smiling for hours after your first run in the rebuilt rear and tune. AND trust me you won't be able to hold off stomping on it before the end of the day  I was looking at doing the...

Just installed my 3.73 and TrueTrac and WOW

and you can really tell from just tapping the gas that the 3.73's have a whole different feel and response. Also it had been raingin all day and we had alot of wet spots we could test out the TT without having to even go half throttle. Otherwise - who am I kiddin, I still would have been...

Just installed my 3.73 and TrueTrac and WOW

We beat it, but not "ripping" it. We drove it around a little for a while and then did some harder passes. I put on almost 100 miles before really stomping on it yesterday. The shop is about 25 miles from my house and work is another 25 in the opposite direction, so i rack up miles and break in...

My day started at about 10:00 yesterday at RealSpeed Automotive on Long Island in NY. Dan Carlson, the owner know his Mustangs inside and out - he was a lead designer for Steeda for years and knows everything there is about fine tuning these things. He started taking everything off and...

Got my SCT2 - now the questions....

I got my sct2 yesterday and 3 tunes. the Throttle lag seems to have somewhat disappeared, but still can't spin those tires from launch :( The improvement is definitly noticeable especially at 20+mph when you stand on it hard, and shifting is real crisp now. I got it for $379 from Dan at...

    3.73 Gears - Should I and why??

I am looking at getting gears installed on my 05 V'6er and my local speed mechanic said that 3.73 with the SCT2 is a dramatic difference. What do you think? They're charging $379 for the Xcal2 with 3 generic tunes. Dyno tuning would be necessary for the gears , of course. What will I be...
