Forced Induction Which Supercharger For Mild Modded 03gt Auto?

That is another concern is the trans and gear. Right now, I don't THINK it will shift into overdrive under WOT. She is pretty topped out on rpm at the stripe. So can you make it go into OD? Or yea, we'll have to put some less gear in it. 3.70's?

Forced Induction Which Supercharger For Mild Modded 03gt Auto?

Wife has an 03 gt auto. Has stage 2 high tech stage 2 cams, and usual engine bolt ons, 4.10's, edge 3000 converter. She wants a supercharger now, but still drives it on the street quite a bit. So far it looks as the best ones to consider would be the v3 si trim intercooled vortech or the...

Where did you mount controller for el-glo gauges??

Wife has a 03gt and I was going to install these el-glo gauge faces. Everything looks pretty straight forward, but it comes with this steel bracket that has the dimmer knob and switch for the colors. Where in the hell can you mount this to actually use it and NOT be in the way of something...

    Drag guys! Shelby drop??

My pro street car has the new upper uca's about 3 years ago. (not many miles). Bushings are junk, The nuts just keep loosening up all the time. So I am sick of the stock cheap china junk you get with ALL of these kits. ( I have tried damn near all of them). I was looking at either global...

    351w stroker kit

I would use them heads. Plus, not that hard to upgrade heads later. Is it optimal, no. Would it run better with bigger heads, yes. I would get a bigger cam though. A 408 with a custom cam and those heads and you will Still be at or just above 500hp. My first one made 520 hp with vic jr...

Pics of my progress and a question.

If you REALLY want to know, just get a piece of polycarb at a local store, a cheap plastic seringe with cc's, and some rubbing alcohol, and some grease. All stuff very easy to find. First cut the plastic round, JUST smaller than the bore. Deburr it good. Place it on the piston and mark a...

Pics of my progress and a question.

Same pistons I have in my mach. I have stock 69 heads that I ported a bit when I was really young. Small solid flat tappet. perf rpm intake with 1 5/8 headers. It runs mid to high 12's. Runs great. Leave it alone, it'll run great with the new parts. BUT, AT LEAST run the xe cam or go...

    351W to 408 Stroker owners...step inside

Scat and Eagle are both very good. Only thing I have heard about the eagle stuff is it may be a tad harder to balance and the finish might not be quite as good. But only a few have said that. Built a big block with eagle stuff and it was nice. I wouldn't be afraid to use one again at...

    Edelbrock quality?

Which heads? The new etecks or whatever are the real cheap ones, that are meant to compete with the new offshore junk. These heads are pretty much performer heads that do not have the finish work in the ports and bowl area. Still a great head, but you could make them better with a little...

    What color to paint intake?

I powdercoated mine. Turned out really nice. It does resist gas pretty well also. Lasts much longer than paint. I think it was $40.

OK its time to start on the 408w

Yea, and I agree with boost. The bigger heads would be better for the 408.

OK its time to start on the 408w

Stock block, crank, rods. Some cheap speedpro hypereutectic pistons with the stock compression ratio. Stock heads that I ported myself when I was like 18 years old. Perf rpm intake with a rusty old 750 d.p. 1 5/8 headers, and a solid flat tappet cam from Ultradyne. Specs are 276, 284 ad. dur...

OK its time to start on the 408w

Since it is a pro street car, it does have a 4 link. But it has a full interior (except for the back seat. I still have the stock dash and guages, heater, door panels, front seats, carpet, The rear is steel tubs and steel tinwork so I didn't loose any weight there. Still weighed in at 3350lbs...
