I guess this should be called the TC motor forum. The answer to every question here is "GET A TC MOTOR". Maybe some people don't want a damn turbo motor. Did that ever occur to you? You really shouldn't act all holier than thou because you are far from fast compared to almost all of the rest...
Maybe something to build over time eh? In my opinion, hopping up cars in general isn't cost effective, but hey it's all in fun right? Most people dump a few grand into thier cars to make them fast don't they? I'd just like to see some crazy stuff like that
I've been having these wierd ideas for a super-sleeper mustang. Here's what I had in mind...Picture it
Flat black with black steel wheels and dog dishes
No tailpipes/2.3 badges
Big ol' N/A 2850 stroker
4.30's and T-lock
Giant cam
Fogger nozzles plumbed into the underside of the lower...
I heard on this forum somewhere that stock 2.3L N/A injectors are only adequate to 117hp. I have 19# injectors, 5.0L throttle body, and was going to pick up a stock 5.0L MAF. Will this combo work on my 92?
I'd have to say when you were working that switch, you might have broke a connection in there or something. Try bypassing the switch to see if everything else works as advertised.
See that's my thing, everybody says the Mark VIIs were built on a fox platform using T-bird components, so I would think everything could swap right over. But, knowing my luck, I'd have to change K-member, arms, etc.
Okay, I know it's not a Mustang, but I would like to know if any other fox platform suspension will bolt on to a Mark VII? My air suspension took a dump and I have access to a T-bird and an LX Hatch donor car. Any help would be greatly appreciated:shrug:
I'd go 331 and a 125 hit of spray. Nitrous loves high compression, but be aware that detonation may come into play with pump gas. I'd stick with your 10.5:1 idea and remember back out 4 degrees of timing for every 100 hp of nitous.
I have a non-HO EFI set-up from an 87 5.0 and was just curious what you guys would use. There are no emissions here and the car will be driven 2-3 days a week to work. Can the SD stuff hang with a big cam or should I sell that stuff and go carbed? Daily driveability isn't too much of a...
I have an 87 model 5.0 non-HO from a Mark 7 and am getting ready to order a rebuild kit. Is this a roller motor? I'm pretty sure it's not forged either. Just need to know....will Summit's 5.0 HO rebuild kit work in this block? Thanks for the help:shrug:
I have a non-HO 5.0 EFI from an 87 mark 7 and I was wondering what kind of pistons where in it. I was thinking of possibly using this motor for a V-8 conversion. I figured I'd let you guru's help me on this. Anyway, I was thinking stock shortblock, victor jr heads, victor jr intake, and a...
