315's really ARE hard to mount!!!

I had the same problems with my 10.5 bullets. The groove inside the rim is just too far down to stretch the tire. I was cuttin up my beads too. And i only have 275s! Oh well i got them mounted and they look great. Good luck with yours!

    Yup i got rims!!!

Stripes are a gloss black decal. Not too sure on the tires tho. From what i hear the cheaper tires tend to not preform as well as the others and dont last too long, but hey they are highperformance tires... they arent made to last long. If your looking for an inexpensive tire check out the Nitto...

    Best Buffer?

I dont think that is a quality buffer.. all that will do is make swirl marks and mess your paint up. Check out www.autogeek.com. The porter cable is a good entry buffer and spins fast enough to get the job done. Me personally i use the DeWalt big daddy buffer. That thing is capable of...

    Yup i got rims!!!

I didnt pay for the tires. I actually got them from my used tire bin at work. But the unique part is that they are all brand new. Perks for working at Benz. So i cant be picky with the sizes, i just got what was available. And the Lip is the same all around. I didnt think i liked it but its def...

    Yup i got rims!!!

I have Dunlop SP9000 245/40/18 in the front and 275/35/18 in the rear. I think i want to larger in the rear but with that offest im pretty close to my exhaust now. Dont get me wrong the 275 is a wide tire but i have my heart set on 315s. Haha

    Yup i got rims!!!

Just washed the car and put the new wheels on. 18x9 and 18x10 DeepDish Black Bullet wheels with a +45 Offest. I wish i got a different offset in the rear so they filled out to the fenders better. Oh well they looks sweet.

Thanks for the input on a new car...

Not to be an ass but how did you spend $27K on a base model 6? I had a 2003 and i was at like $24,700 or something like that and it was a v6 with the sport package, 5spd, 17s, leather, sunroof all that good stuff. Just curious thats all.

    can anything be done?

No those things wont do much. http://www.autogeek.net/bupo.html Check those out. They arent the mickey mouse buffers but they arent the top shelf pro buffers. They work well and are easy to use and start out with. Those guys at AutoGeek are really helpful too. Good Luck.

    can anything be done?

if you going to get one make sure you get a rotary or a highspeed. Dont cheap out on the buffer cause the mickey mouse ones dont work too well. I had a porter cable from Lowes that worked OK but then i stepped up this year and got the big DeWalt one. That thing is a great buffer.

    can anything be done?

after you claybar it you should do a compound with a highspeed buffer then followed by a glaze/swirl removal and a good wax/sealer if you want it done properly. I just did mine today and it took me 3hours to do the whole outside of the car and i have a convertible.

Pics of the car from the weekend

No it was the actual Mufflers that scraped due to fords wonderful exhaust design being 1" off the ground. The driveway is just a really bad angle to come in at any direction. I guess i just have to learn how to drive a lowered car again. Im so used to 4x4 mustang mode.
