First time at the track not as good as I had hoped

    With a 306 cu putting down 231RWHP my 65's best time out of six runs was this: R/T... 0.250 60'...1.937 330...5.728 1/8...8.930 MPH...77.36 1000...11.710 1/4...14.081 MPH...95.28 That does it, I'm getting that 408 this year.

9" Rear disc conversion for only $375?

I have it and it works great. It is made by Ford Racing and is also sold by Currie. They are Ford Explorer brakes. If you are thinking of putting it on a 9" then you must have big bearing axles.

MY NIGHTMARE @ Don Barry Mustang, JAX FL

Don Barry has a couple of judgement liens against him. These folks were swindled out of 12 grand last year. http://www.sunbiz.org/scripts/jlidet.exe?inquiry_action=DETLIST&inquiry_number=J06000116363&inquiry_date=046553549698697512&return_number=J06000116363&return_date=046553549698697512...

MY NIGHTMARE @ Don Barry Mustang, JAX FL

I hate crooks. Those cops should have arrested them so they could be CONVICTED on criminal charges as well as forced to pay restitution.

Manual or auto better for drag racing?

I'm not building anything at the moment. I was just curious because of what a friend said to me. Manuals are definitely more fun to drive.

Just saw thr original Gone in 60 Seconds

I'm suprised no one mentioned the memorable tire change scene on the Six Million Dollar Man where Steve Austin lifts up the front of a 1965 Mustang with one arm then removes the lug nuts with his bionic hand acting like an impact wrench. Of course, he couldn't have lifted the Mustang without...

    Where is everyone buying wheels?

+1 Summit. They usually sell cheaper than the company who makes the wheel. Also if you buy tires from Summit they will mount and balabce for 10 bucks each.

    Adjustible Motor Mouonts

I haven't. But I do have a 302 in a 1965 and I can tell you that the RM mounts are not needed. If you want the engine to sit higher then use '66 mounts. If you want it lower than use early '65 mounts. I do plan on getting the RM adjustable mounts when I do my 351W swap because header/shock...

408W from the Engine Factory or Keith Kraft?

Wow, you're the first I have read about having had a problem with KC. I guess all the builders have some bad examples. I'll just have to choose the one which I think has the best record. However, I still think it's KC so far.

408W from the Engine Factory or Keith Kraft?

I've looked at about a half dozen crate engine builders and have narrowed it down to two. They both are about the same price. Which is the better one? The one from the Engine Factory I would have them sub with the Vic Jr heads and intake and a larger cam. Engine Factory 408W crate Keith...

I want to drive like a 19-year-old girl

She's average. However her drag racing skills IMO gives her a few more points on the bangability scale. http://www.hotrod.com/racers/113_0504_melissa/
