Currently I have a 99 Gt with 140k miles on it and am doing an 01 cobra motor swap in the near future. My question is are there any mods that I should do right now while the motor is out? I guess I want to know if there are any weak points that would be better to address now. Also, I know that this question is probably beat to death on this board as it is on the 2v boards, but which s/c would you recommend for daily driving on stock internals? I would swap the internals right now, but if I can get a decent amount of power (375-425 rwhp) with the stock parts and still run safely, then I'm just going to keep them. Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Might as well go ahead and go w/ forged internals now before it goes in...a quality set of headers wouldn't hurt either. If you plan on forced induction, might as well do it right the first time, ya know? A "safe" tune may help with the stock internals, but why risk it if you have an ideal chance to upgrade before getting that blower on it...nobody wants to save up for a rebuild later on down the road after a few thousand miles.

I'd just clean up that engine bay really good and tear out all those wires that are unnecessary (AC&Smog). I think your gonna like the new motor though it seems to be a lot smoother
