man, i can't wait for your future mods. im plannign on getting some more hp out of my 04 gt. all i have is full kenny brown suspension w/ coilovers, CAI and tune. im wanting forged internals, patriot performance stage 3 heads, cams, reichard racing intanke manifold, hp performance stage 2 twin turbo kit at 20psi, t56 6 speed, exedy race clutch, aluminum drave shaft, and built up rear end. i bet i could eat some modded up cobras =D
ya it was a good run but we are gonna have to do a do-over here soon, sense i have had a little more time in the car. but he got me, ill just have to do better next time
Very good runs! Although i thought the cobra would have got waxed . 3800# vert with 388RWHP vs 3500# coupe with 378RWHP should be KB GT all the way... Did the cobra have a passenger too? Maybe he did, but looks almost even until the topend...maybe a little explenation could be presented like if the cobra guy let off, or missed a gear...or if the KB gt just started to pull like mad.
Boath times i let off a 120+, he sayed in it a little longer i think? the first run there where 2ppl in my car+ me the 2nd i kicked one out, he had 1 person in his car with him in boath runs, in the first run you can here me over rev 2nd and he pulled me, but it was some good racing, we are def. gonna have to do it again
Nice runs. My problem is usually the topend the 4v starts to just breathe and come around. stupid 4v's
I thought the same as well. Then again, I thought my car would hang well with a bone stock Shelby GT500. Well last week I found out it didn't. From a 40mph roll, I ended up losing by about 5+ car lengths. The sad thing was the Shelby had all that extra weight, including a passenger and still pulled me rather easily. I think heat soak and bad driver mod was to blame, but this just proves dyno racing dont mean shyt.
you know it did feel pretty even until the top end, u can even see the second race he left me behind a little at first, but then my car got speed and caught up and passed him pretty good.It was about the top of third gear that i'd really say that my car started getting the upper hand(around 95 ish) . I love races that are really close they are the fun ones, but in the end the kenne bell huffer gave my 2v the win, i was even surprised, just ask matt. There will definetly be a rematch. I'm running 9psi to answer your question tweekedgt. Oh and matt if you have the vid from your cars perspective i'd love to see it man!
