I was wondering about a new hood for my car. I have a 2003 mustang GT and i love it, just one problem, I hate the factory stock hood. Wouldnt be that bad if it was funtional, but its not, any way i was wondering if a 1998 GT hood or a 98 cobra hood would work on the 03. I think it would fit, im just not sure what other hardware i need, any help would be great!

someone correct me if i'm wrong....but i don't think it will fit right. the sn95 models as a whole are smaller than the 99+ models. plus, the hood area along the headlights is shaped different. the 99+ are more boxy, whereas the sn95s are more rounded. why not just get an aftermarket hood that you like from somewhere?

Why not just get a hood from an '99 Mustang? They were scoopless and should fit without any problems. It has a fake vent thingy in the middle but even my old V6 '97 Mustang had 2 fake vents on it.

The 99+ models' hoods are different from the 94-98 hoods.

I think you would be happier with a Cobra R hood (scoopless) and you can get a nice light one from Steeda for about $400.

thanks, those are good ideas. its just i also have a 1992 LX 5.0L, and that car is completly scoopless. i was looking for a low key kind of hood like the 98 GT's. at least now i know it wont fit
