My buddy has a 04 cobra with long tube headers, K&N intake, x pipe, and high boost pully. he wanted me to ask you guys what you think he should do next. what would be best bang for the buck in terms of a low price helping a lot with power and 1/4 mile? thanks for replies

I would say finish off the full exhaust with a nice catback, and there are many choices. Do a search and you will find mucho info. :nice: I would also say ditch the stock shifter and go with Pro 5.0, Steeda, or the new MGW, night and day between stock and them. Top it all off with a handheld tuner. I would recommend Diablosport Predator. You said your boy has a smaller pulley so I would assume he has had the car tuned? The Predator will do that and give you some more power while keeping everything safe. Good luck.

I really don't think a tb is necessary. The stock twin is just fine for the power he is making. You usually don't see aftermarket tb going on until you install a KB or Whipple. I think the bigger tb helps with all the new found boost. If he is set on a new tb though, nothing looks hotter than the polished Accufab. :nice: Don't see it improving your power any.

If you can get one, go with a Billetflow...most likely you won't be able to acquire one though... they haven't started production back up. The Accufab would be my next choice.

Meat, would you agree that a bigger single blade tb will not improve his power any at his boost level?

You may see some torque differences from the stocker, but not much. I would have your friend check out amazon racings ported stock TB and pendlum. Also, a ported blower wouldn't be a bad idea, although he would need a new tune. People are seeing big numbers in the mid range just the the tB and pendlum port, upwards of 22 HP in the mid range from the combo. Add a port matched blower to the mix, maybe 60 HP? And i think you can get it all for like 700 right now..

No, I won't agree completely... but I will say the minimal gains he may see won't be worth the money spent! He states he's running a "High Boost" pulley, so the larger single blade will help a little, but not much. If he were to port the blower then it would make a bigger difference. The ported stock TB and plenum as mentioned by MiamiFan1354 would actually be a better upgrade for the money.

I would also warn against looking into existing Billetflow TB's. Doug himself has said they have yet to find a permanent fix for the sticking problem. Damn nice looking piece though!
