I have had her for about two months with 3500 miles I am getting a lot of play out of the rear end and a whine at 50 to60 miles per hr. Goes away when I let up on the gas. Just wondern if any one else has had the same problem. Bringing her in monday to have it checked out.

Got the same whine at high speed, not like other descriptions where the sound is at 30 - 40 miiles an hr.
It is really annnoying if the stereo is turned off, maybe that's the reason for the shaker 1000.....can't hear all the rattles, clanks and whines> JK JK

    Love my car...
Please post back with what happened at the dealer. I need to take mine in.

    rear end noise

WELL TOOK MINE IN MONDAY FOR THE FIRST OIL CHANGE, TOLD THEM ABOUT THE NOISE, WE WENT FOR A ROAD TEST AND THEY CAN HERE WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.GOT A CALL A FEW HRS WHEN IT WAS READY AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AT THIS TIME. THEY DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO TAKE OFF THE REAR COVER AND CHECK THE WEAR PATTERN OR BACKLASH. TOLD THEM TO MAKE NOTE OF IT BECAUSE I'L BE BACK.

Well looks like it's up to me...since we are the only two that drive over 60 miles an hour....
I have to go to the dealer tomorrow, my 2nd GT is arriving, before I write a check I will get an answer to our problem (maybe)

QUESTION: Is yours auto or manual? Mine is automatic, my new one is manual.

What do you mean by play out of the rear? My car feels squirrely at back also at certain speeds. Almost like the rear end wants to break loose when I am on the highway at certain speeds. Let me know.

Mine is manual. My play I am talking about is when your in any gear you let up on the gas then step on it you can feel play in the rear end. Also at 50 to 60 cruising speed you get a whine out of the rear end. Just let up on the gas and it goes away.

I have an auto. Only about 570 miles on it. When ever I get to 60mph i hear a whine or.. a highpitched noise but when i go past it or let off the gas its gone. The noise isnt that loud but it does get anoying w/o the 1000shaker on.
