i have and 89 2.3. I found a BA set of black powdercoated cobras that are 4 lug. but i was unsure if i could stuff that wide of a wheel under and 89. i know the 91's and up could fit slightly bigger wheels. what if i have my car at stock ride heigt?

Depends on the backspacing and such...I doubt they will fit in the front, should fit in the back if the backspacing is correct though.

Well I know that the 91-93 have more well space than the 87-90's I've seen many a 93 with 17X9's fit with rubbing only at wheel lock(sterring wheel turned all the way) So you may have a chance

93GreenLX is correct. i have a combo set on my car. 17"x8" in the front and 17"x9" in the back. i do experience some rub when the wheel is turned all the way though on those ones in the front so be careful.
