    1967 1968 Fastback GT 4 Speed Identification

    Hey guys,

I have an opportunity to buy a 1967 or 1968 (not sure of the year) GT 4 speed fastback and I need some help.

How do I properly identify that it is a GT.
The owner says it is all original and I need to know what exactly to look for. Where are the engine, trans numbers etc? And what do they mean?
What identifying marks make it a GT?
    How many were produced?
    Are they rare?
It is unrestored so where on the body should I be looking for rust damage?

Anything you can give me is great I have to act fast.
    Thanks,
    Dave

www.martiauto.com send them the VIN and $17 and you'll know what it came with, including wether or not its a GT. VIN starting with 7 is 67, 8 is 68. 68 has vin on dash, similar to newer cars, but 67 is under hood near fender lip.
