I know this probably should go in the Fox section, but I don't hang out there, I hang out here. So as long as long you guys don't care about me posting this here, then this is where I will post it.

Anyways, got back from IOWA this morning (17hrs each way) with the Pace Car. Kris helped and rode with me. We borrowed a 2008 F350 SuperDuty TT Deisel. Sweet ass truck btw so I included some pics of that too. That thing has some balls.

Other than that, here are the pics. Let me know what you think.

Also, Rich, sorry about not calling you back. When I get settled in I will call you Tues night.

    WOW....that is a clean 4eye.

Did you post that you were going to put a 4v in it? If so as clean as that car is I hope you are putting the stock driveline aside in storage or somethng. Not that its powerfull or anything but a clean all orig. 79 pace car...not the most common thing you see.

I would love to put a 4v in a nice 4eye. Buddy of mine had a 82 and it weighed like 2800lbs 100% street trim. I just would have to go with a 87+ dash or do a 94+ dash swap.

BTW did you guys try to set fire to some corn fields with the new 6.4? There is a TSB out on the eec...seems they are shooting 10+foot flames out the tail pipes. I think there is a youtube on it as well.

Damn nice trucks...would love to have one.

Here is the best part, I paid $7500 for it. Other cars that I have have found in the same condition or close are 11,500 to 14,500. It seems that there value has risen in the last few years, but not all of them sell. You either like them or you don't. And it is hard to find good clean ones, when you do that when they want 12-14K.

This car is very clean. Alot of times pics hide some age and wear, but its basically as clean as it looks in the pics.

Oh yeah, and just to keep some people up to speed as to my plans (if they missed it before) below is a concept I did up of what I might build. This is probably the most radical version as I beleive it would require to back half the car with a 4 link and custom frame. Don't know if I want to take the car to that levelbeing it is this nice to start with BUT.... I am a hot rodder at heart.

Anyway, I'm not gonna start ripping into this car quite yet, I will probably enjoy the car a little first, so that will make some time to plan out exactly what direction and how radical I want to go with this build. A few lottery ticket investments probably won't hurt either. lol

Tom, the car looks good, just as sweet as I thought it was from the other pics you sent me. Glad you an chris had a smooth trip, I know you must be wiped from that affair. I see you figured out which car would stay home.

Now that I have thought about this project for a while and have seen the shape the car is currently in. I dont think I can let you modify it. LOl

LOL, fox body mustangs were born to be modified! Thats what started this whole latemodel aftermarket mustang craze. I'll enjoy it for a while and see where it takes me, but I don't really think stock is in my future. lol

    Nice find. :nice:
How many miles does it have? Looks to be in as good as shape as the original in the 500 museum I saw last year. Look forward to seeing the mods.

Hey Tom, you look really enthused in that second picture hahaha. Nah, seriously though it looks like you've got an awesome project on your hands now, and it looks to be in excellent condition! 17 hours is certainly a hike, I drove 14 hrs in one shot from NJ to Georgia, and I was wiped. I made the mistake of going out that night when I got there, and didn't go to bed until 3am because I'm a retard. Hopefully I'll get to see this thing soon:nice:

Kris is right, the car has 1/4 the horsepower of the cobra and the pace car makes a better smoke show than the cobra. lol
