Can anyone give me a definition of a classic Mustang? I have a 1987 LX convertible, and have received offers on it. If I keep it in good condition for a few more years, should I expect a big bump in value for reaching the 25 year milestone?

First year of that 'aero' body style and convertible? hmm..if it's in showroom condition, it can fetch decent numbers, but nothing like, say a McLaren, or a Saleen....with the car market the way it is and the availability of Fox Mustangs, though...

but that's just an opinion, I could be wrong =D

bluebook already lists the avg 87-88 fox as worth twice as much as the 89-93 cars.

87-93 5.0 are what jump started the Mustang scene after all those years of 140hp V8. I remembered driving my friend Mustang " Cobra ",it had some kind of Orange racing strips down the side. :)
I don't think most Mustang owner around the country will put a 60's Mustang on the same page as the 87-93 Mustang. To me they are still a long way to go before they are "Classic".
