    Any help would be great.

I just bought a 97 cobra last night. My questions:

    1) I found a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller under the dash. what is this used for..?

    2) I have a grinding/ clunk sound in the rear end a slow speeds

    3) there is a beeping sound approx 30 seconds after I start the car, and lasts random amount of time approx 15-30 seconds...

    4) bass speakers quit after I jumped on it today :(

I just realized that my alternator is going out, orderd and will be replaced tomorrow.

Again any help would be great, web sites, links etc...

Tekonsha Voyager brake controller is a trailer brake control.
Look under the rear bumper. Was a hitch removed. Cobras can tow BUT not alot of weight.

That beeping might be the seatbelt chime...please don't tell me that you don't wear your seat belt... :nonono:

Anyone else's seat belt light not go out? I think I'm just going to pull the bulb. Its not like the seat belt input has any effect on airbag operation.

if I don't have my belt on, I slide all over the place, but never experienced the reminder beeping until I drove a 2002 ranger edge. and my seat belt light doesn't stay on. If they did use your car to tow, hopefully it wasn't much weight. and what do you mean by bass speakers. the factory stuff????

The clunking sound in the rear may be your gears grinding. The car may have been driven hard. As for the subs going out, sounds like you might have a loose connection. Both of the amps are mounted in your trunk. There are two connectors for each amp. Make sure they are snapped in all the way.
