Well I've had the car a month and a half now I cannot believe how many dumba$#es want to race in heavy traffic. Some of these guys will pull up in stop and go traffic and pump the gas. Anyways Yesterday It all came to a head though. I was driving along and an M3 comes zipping by me so he passes me up and the light is red at the next intersection and then a guy in a maroon SUV with blings on it is behind me. He stomps his gas and cuts around me and goes in front of me. So I said alright these guys want to play today huh.So at the light I got a chevy and the M3. The BMW is still stuck so I went in the turning lane and waited for the light I'm looking over at Mr. Lee over in the m3 (His plate said MRLEE) and the guy over in the Tahoe. I wait for the light and I'm gone I get in front of the chevy with plenty of room to spare. I did hear the m3 burn some rubber but he was toast. I barely made the next light they were stuck. I couldn't resist guys. I think I've been pretty tame. Once and awhile you gotta have some fun. I got the car up to triple digits very quickly that was the first time and I was amazed how fast and easy it was for this pony. I paid a little under 30 grand for her but the engine performance is a steal.Ford has done good on this one.
Yup Driving this car attracts alot of attention and it's hella fun. I said I would not acknowledge ricers but some of them just get on my nerves so I let them have it.
In a real race with equal drivers a Mustang GT will not beat a M3. The M3 does 0-60 in 5 seconds. So, don't go driving around thinking that you're behind the wheel of a M3 killer or you might just get yourself killed.
lastest result in R&D have the 5spd 05 GT 0-60 in 4.9. It would be a drivers race and to say a M3 would beat an 05 GT is questionable.......
Oh I am not bragging or thinking I am an m3 killer it just happened that way Saturday. I know the M3 is a pretty good car. I was just putting the test to my engine and I was happy to see the results of what it can do. These 2 characters wanted to see what the 05 could do is my guess. They got a pretty good show. Heck if I was not into the mustangs. I might consider owning an m3.
As you pointed out I've had alot of challenges in horrible locations, heavy traffic, construction zones, roads with schools on them. Or worse yet vehicles that don't stand a chance in hell of keeping up (huge SUV's). So far I've killed a couple eclipses, number of CRX's and civic's, older mustang GT's 5.0's, and a couple SSR's(04&05). I've passed up at least 6x more than I've raced almost all imports or boats. Strangely enough no F-body people have even rev'd at me. :edit The man never said it was a NEW M3, could have been an E36.
After being deployed when my GT got delivered, it sat for two months in the garage. I couldn't wait to get home to it. Got the chance last Friday when I came back to my homestation for some orthodontic work. Wife picked me up from the airpport in the stang. What an awesome car. I was in heaven the whole time driving her home. First "kill" came Sunday afternoon when a sonic blue GT pulled up next to me at a light and I knew it was on. The start was kinda hesitant but once I started getting on it he got on it too. What a sweet ride. I don't really consider it a kill though. More like having a little fun. It was no where close to a serious launch.
