I am looking to get a new daily driver. I came across a 2001 white Lightning at a Ford dealership. It has 48,xxx, 20" Lightning wheels and seems like a cat-back. The dealership is asking $18,900. The truck is overall clean, but there are a few cigarette burns on the drivers seat (not through to the cushion but there. Is it worth the money? I also have the option for an extended warranty for 3 years/36,000 miles from the date of purchase and on top of the 48k on there now for ~$1500. Not sure if that's a good price or not, but I'd be wary of the how well the previous owner looked after it (numerous cigerette burns? ). In any event, make sure you also ask on NLOC - these guys know Lightnings: http://www.nloc.net/vbforum/ There was an intercooler upgrade/recall/tsb as well for certain model years - check the NLOC site for further details. On a sidenote, you'll be refueling pretty often with a Lightning as your daily driver (ie - they like to drink fuel like no other LOL). G'luck!
