    Hi Guys,

This is my first post after more than a year of picking your brains for info on other problems. For my newest problem I have scoured the forums, and the net for that matter, for the last month and I have'nt been able to find the answers to my questions. First of all, what I am trying to do is upgrade the base sound system in a 2004 Mustang that I just bought to a Mach 460 system. I want to do this instead of aftermarket because I just want to maintain the OEM look. My problem is that I have all the components of a 2002 Mach 460 system except some of the wiring and I don't know how you are supposed to wire the components up or what harnesses you need; or even where to find them. I have been told that you can just plug all of the components right up but that is not the case. I have been told that there is a plug for the rear speaker box below the drivers' side quarter window but there isn't. I have taken the door panels off and the doors are only wired for one speaker. Also, there is only one 16-pin connector behind the radio and the CD-6 head unit has three connectors. The one connector fits the CD-6 head unit and it powers up and functions normally except for the fact that the built-in crossover sends only high frequency sounds to the existing speakers. What I would like to know is are the Mach 460 harnesses stand-alone or are they integrated into the main harness only on Mach 460 cars? If they are integrated, can you buy stand-alone harnesses to upgrade your car? I know this can be done and I know that some of you guys have done it and can help me. I have called Ford and Visteon and they keep stringing me along and not answering any questions. RadiosAndMore.com sells a Mach 460 upgrade kit but it is $1000 and they will not sell the harnesses seperately. I hate to have been so long-winded but I wanted to be thorough. I will be waiting with baited breath for you guys to give me the help I so desperately need.

    THANKS!
    David
