May be in the wrong section, but I was wondering if the S197 seats will fit into a Fox using stock rails. I need some seats for my 84 LX, and was wondering if they will go. I know you can fabricate a way for them to work, but I'd like as straightforward a sawp as possible. Any info, thanks.

methinks this would be more trouble than its worth, because there is nothing at all similar between the two cars, but i will let someone who might know more chime in...

I believe you can swap all the rails and tracks from the fox seats and just mount the actual seat part on the fox rails, assuming the 05 seats aren't too wide, not as simple as bolting them in, but not that hard, just depends how bad you want those seats

it can be done, i've seen it more than once... they're HEAVY though

even my 04 cobra power driver seat is outrageously heavy, but it is worth it for the look and feel of them

Plus, in my opinion a stock fox seat is more comfortable. the 05 seats are akward and bulky

i have the 08 cobra seats that i am putting into an 87 and the brackets will work but i will have to drill new holes and do alittle welding.they are totally different.mine have airbags in them but i am going to try and take them out.i found 02 seats and took the brackets off because i wanted the 6 way powered driver seat.

I sold a pair to a guy and he had a hell of a time mounting them. The 2005 seats do not have a nice flat frame like 79-04 seats have. You are better off using 2008 seats. They redesigned the frame and the underside and it looked easier to fab stuff up.
