does anybody know the difference between the 03 281 and the 03 cobra hood is it weight because they look the same to me

Both 03 cobra and saleen hood have reversed vents, but they look quite different to me ...

If I remember correctly, the Cobra hood only weighs a bit more than the Saleen heat extractor hood. I only remember because Joe at Chicane installed a KB 2.2 in a 2002 Saleen with the heat extractor hood. The original hood would not clear and a 03 Cobra hood was tried to no avail.

Saleen hood on left, Cobra on right. Heat wxtractor looks way better in my opinion. I owned a Cobra also so I can talk S*@#!

Okay I can see the difference now Saleen hood all the way.... whats the possibility of one of those 281 hoods fitting on a cobra is it possible?

The Saleen heat extractor hood will not work on the 03/04 Cobras even with the shield off.

That is the same hood. The 281e is a bit different but looks to fit about the same as the 281 hood.
