What are the differences between the 94-98 3.8's to the 99 and up 3.8's? Thanks for the help.

99's and up have the balancer shaft. my 95 has a new 2000 model engine from the factory and it has the balancer shaft.

40HP. 99's+ have 190HP compared to 150HP. This is mainly to newer models having split port intake.

94 and 95 models have problems keeping the head gasket intact and this is due to the head expanding faster and more than the block. that was fixed in 96.
