I wan't to see how much you guy's are putting down N/A. And if you have a TFS top end kit even better? I just want to see how much it takes to get a 306 @ or over the 350hp mark. Also how much torque you guy's are making. I see the 347 stangers posting their numbers. Just interested in what the smaller cube guy's are doing. And their mods.

I find it funny that 302 guys who have a .030 overbore start calling them 306's. I guess yes thats what they are but really a 306 isn't going to make anymore power then a 302. My 351w is a .030 overbore but I don't call it a 358w. Basically anything that it takes to put a 302 over the 350hp is the same that you will have to do to your 306.

That's always kinda bugged me too.

I'm assuming that's why it makes the power.

Um, I have a '306' to show that it is rebuilt, not to show power. I realize it doesn't make any more power that is seen at the track.

Little things add up though. But I do not look at it as a power adder.

I'm being more technical by saying exactly what I have.

    Anyways...

I ran 8.27 at 87.31mph with full accessories, full weight (minus spare tire), 3370lb race weight with a 220lb driver. No tune, Haven't messed with timing or fuel pressure, daily driven at the time.

Nitto Drag Radials with no burnout at 16psi, which equated to a 1.95 60ft I believe.

    Compression?

Still got a/c and/or powersteering ran by the engine? Shortbelt? Deleted?

    RPM range? Shift rpm?

    Vacuum at idle?

Weight reduction, tricks, aggressive cam, steep gearing, etc...They all can get you better times than a typical daily driven h/c/i combo.

Pretty much a no brainer...and no shock 1.4 60fts tend to drop E.T.'s...that would be a lot of suspension work.

So to the orignal post, do you want a drag car or a daily driver or even weekend warriro, they have different setups.
