Ok guys, so my old 2000 mustang had a t45, and it shifter altirhgt till i put rp sychromax in it and it made it much better.., now i have a new stang, an 03.. the 1/2 clunk is killing me... What the best fluid i could use to some what make the situation better.... the car has 45,000 miles on it , with original transmission fluid.
You're going to get people argue on both sides of the fence as to whether or not you should use RP, but I personally switched to RP Syncromax @ 50K and it made a huge difference. I also added a MGW Shifter @ 60K which helped as well. I have 80K now and it still shifts great.
+1000000. I did the same thing. my car shifted way better after i put in the RP and when my gf bought me my mgw shifter it got even better. deffinetly get a mgw. best shifter ever period
i had the mgw on my 2000, loved it to..... theres a steeda on the 03 i have now, and im not liking it.... So RP and MGW?
RP is great but after a while it must break down or something, my tranny was quiet and smooth for the first 1000 or so miles then it always went back to its standard 3650 noises and such. however mobil1 didnt seem to cure any of those issues that the RP covered up for a short time so i dunno. i will be putting RP in my 03 Cobra whenever i get a free weekend.
i went with good 'ol Domestic Vehicle ATF (mercon/dexron) when i installed my MGW and it smoothed out the 1-2 on mine a little under 3.5 quarts i believe
