I completed my 3g upgrade last saturday. everything went beautifully and it works like a champ. I have also have a significant increase in gas mileage. has anyone else noticed this as well or was my old alt just dragging things down?

That is a very interesting question. I don't remember mpg increasing, but the less resistence in moving parts that would have an affect on mpg. Did you go with a 95 amp or 130 amp? Would love to see some pics how you wired yours up. Glad you got it done.
it was out of a 3.8 taurus so I am wanting to say it was a 95 amp? not quite sure. anyway, I'll post some pics up as soon as I can. the car is a beater so they will not look anywhere near as nice as yours. I am trying to ressurect it. it's had a hard life.
