I've searched a bit and couldn't find anyone one posting about it, so i'm not sure if its even possible or not. I found many people swap their old 3.8's for the newer ones that have the split port after their oringinal engines get worn out from high millage.

I've read that the bellhouseing is differant fron the one used in the older cars, but that may be changed....the post i read that from was back in 2004, so maybe there is some new info out there now.

Just curious to find out, as i might be looking into getting a v6 stang for cheap and later swap out the engine if its worth while.

    Thanks!

You probably cant find anything about it becuz its something not popular to do. I havent heard anyone at all who swapped a 4.0 into their older car. Youd be better off just taking your 3.8L and stroking it. Unless you really wanna 4.0, just buy a 2005+.

HOWEVER, comma, Ive heard AT LEAST one person whos taken a 2005+ GT motor and swapping it into an SN95.
