    Hey all;
    Wanted to get some advice out there for those who have experience with 4-channel amps. I am looking to get one and I guess I should start off with some background info.

    This amp will be used to power MB Quart 3 1/2" up front and MB Quart 5x7" in the rear ('84 stang). I have a Kenwood Excelon deck with Front & Rear RCA outs.

    I'm looking for good quality sound reporduction and my price cap is about $500. I know I'll have to spend some money to get quality. I also realize that the speakers I'm running are good quality but can't handle a lot of power, so this kinda where I'm running into a decision problem.

    I have been looking at JL Audio and recently started looking at A/D/S. I like PPI, but I hate the new look. I want something that doesn't look like it came out of the Space Shuttle. Since I have an older car, I want something that will blend in, ie simple look.

    Anyone out there have any good recommendations? Thanks!!

    can't go wrong with alpine...
    you have a lot of room to maneuver....
    there's plenty of good amps out there that can push your setup....
    you don't even need a lot of power....

    I'm assuming your not going to go overkill about the big name sound quality stuff...since you only have 3.5's in the front....go with pioneer or alpine...they make bulletproof amps, good price and crazy features...great bang for the buck....

    JL Audio all the way. I've had Audiobahn, MTX, Rockford, and Phoenix Gold amps, and the best sound quality for the money is definately JL. If you got the $$$$ for the Phoenix Gold that is by far your highest quality amp......but you're gonna pay for it. Good luck :nice:

    Alpine makes some very solid, high quality gear, as does all others named. I think your best bang for the buck is Alpine. I bought an Alpine 4 channel amp brand new for my 95 gt a week after i bought the car (new in june 95) cant recall the model #, but i think it was 50x4. I took the amp out in 2000 when i sold the car and gave it to my sister. it's been in her 99 eclipse ever since, no problems at all. :D

    Thanks for the recommendations guys! I'll take a look at some of the other amps mentioned.
