5.0 swap

    Middle of nowwhere, ohio
    I have an 84 mustang convertible. I'm lookin to replace the stock V6 with a 5.0. I'm wonderin if anyone knows what cars I can take the 5.0 from, and what mods, if any, need to be done to make the engine fit. I've also thought of taking a 302 from an F-150 or a Bronco. If anyone knows how to do this, pleas let me know. Thanks

    the f-150's and broncos are not H.O. i would recomed getting it from a donor mustang. and try using search for swap info. i doubt anyone wants to type al thats needed and what it takes. but im sure there is plenty of info already on here.

    if its an 84 an ur going carb...any 5.0 could work but more "stuff" would have to be up graded. a used explorer motor with the gtp or gt40 heads is a nice start, then a carb/intake/dist/cam swap, gtp headers an ur good to go.
