well I traded in my 03 V6 for a 03 ZX2 back in nov of 03 b/c i wanted to save for a 06 GT. it worked fair b/c i went 19k in debt to about 15k plus paying less inshurance and gas. however the process in paying off this car is longer than i thought it would be. when its payed of ill trade the ZX2 in for something, maybe the solstice or the V6 mustang, i dont want to use the GT as a daily driver. so in other words, if I get in some money, ill use it as a down payment on the GT and keep the ZX2, but thats not likely to happen. :/

The 5R55S for the V6 and the V8 are similar but not identical. The cases are different , the torque converters are different, and the clutch packs are slightly different. Same goes for the old C4, A4LD, AOD, and FMX. In general, V8 transmissions have more plates in the clutch pack and different input shafts. Since the 5R55S is controlled via a solenoid pack, shift points can be changed by flashing the PCM.
