I just recently purchased a set of disk brake spindles, rotors, and calipers for my 1967 289 that originally had manual drum brakes all around.

The disk brake setup came off of a '74 Torino. The person who sold it to me stated that I just need to install the larger lower ball joint from a '68 Mustang and the new brake flex lines from the '74 Torino.

Top ball joint fits perfectly, tie rod is a little looser but should still work.

    Has anyone done something similar?

Just curious - this may be a lot less expensive way to covert to disk brakes.

You've got the wrong spindles, those are for a full size car, the suspension is different.

The last thing you want is loose parts on the front end.

you need the front spindles off a Ford Granada or Lincoln Versailles. Need a two chamber master cylinder and a power brake booster too.
