    Hello All!

I have a chance at buying a 1968 GT FB which is a J code but now has a 428 cj in it. I was wondering how can I tell it is a true GT? I know a few signs to look for but is there any tru stampings or tags with a GT code to look for? Also car has no power steering and AC, was no power steering and AC common on a J code GT for 1968?

    Thanks for any help!!

If I remember right the door tag numbers tell that. I know mine did. But it is a factory S code car.

Unfortunalty not, it is a J code (302)
plus I just found out it does not have disc brakes and not power steering and no AC. I thought most GT's had disc brakes atleast? The guy did say it had the Dual exhaust hangers in the back
