I've heard this swap is possible, and since my steering box is in need of replacement I thought I'd go with the collapsible style column ('68-'69) in my '65. Can anyone confirm that the steering box bolts up in place of the original?

If there are any "gotchas" to this switch, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

    Thanks.

This is a pretty straight forward swap. You will have to modify the bottom of the column to make it match the firewall of the early cars but it should not be too difficult.

Some of the late 67's also had the collapseable columns too. ( in case your looking for one in a J'Yard) My old 67 FB Stang had the two piece column.
