Asking how much your car is worth is not allowed.

    http://forums.stangnet.com/753694-reminder-no-sales-regular-discussion-forums.html

The reason is that alot of people post threads asking how much their car is worth but they're actually intending it as a for sale ad. It's a sneaky way to advertise their car. I am not accusing you of this, I'm just letting you know. Please also read the http://forums.stangnet.com/685806-stangnet-terms-service.html if you haven't already done so.

    Welcome to Stangnet.

While I agree with this statement and despise T-Top weatherstripping....it all makes sense on those long cruises with the tops out.

I hate the t-top mustangs as well I no they are rare. I'd much rather like to cruise in a nice lx with the sunroof pulled out seeing as they have a huge sunroof I know my 87 and 89 lx hatch did.

Most of us who care enough to spend 500$ on weather stripping actually avoid nasty weather, so aside from a few drips when I wash it, it is not a big deal, and probably won't get replaced for a long time. Its kind of ironic that way.

Whats with all the T-Top haters in here?

sure i dont drive it in the rain but i cant even wash my car without it getting wet.

i tore out the head liner because it was warped from the leaks inside.

    +1

There's a listing for an '83 T-top 5-speed GT locally for like $700, just needs paint and little things. I hate being poor.

    T-tops > 'verts.

And you find this AFTER you bought your '84?

Reminds me of that Alanis Morissette "Ironic" song :nonono:

FYI, I didn't BUY the '84 - I traded a dude teh Pervertible for it. No money changed hands, just titles. It's kind of a mechanical attention whore at the moment, and I'm not wild about the 155-horse CFI motor, but I still think I came out on top of the deal:

    Hardtop + AOD w/shift kit + 84k original miles + almost-no-options LX hatch

    VERSUS

Rotted-out 'vert top with no rear window + stock AOD + 198k miles + heavy-arsed 'vert chassis with power windows and locks

    :nice:

I wonder if the dude with the '83 T-top would be interested in trading for a not-quite-cherry '86 GMC S-15...? :D
