I have read all the threads on installing a 9 inch rear end in a mustang. I am planning on purchasing a 9 inch next weed end at a local show. Is ther some one who has done this on a 69 Mustang that can advise the best rear end for this conversion. i would also like disc brakes if possible.
    Thanks in advance.

Well, you need a 67-70 9" housing with diff and axles. "Best" for what? Road racing? Cruise night? Drag?

Why do you want rear discs? Are you racing the car? Even Shelby didn't use rear discs on their racing vehicles. Now if you are racing, you might need them, even for simple club autocross.

The only bolt in 9" rear with discs were the 74-80 Lincoln Versailles/Granada/Monarch units. The Granada/Monarchs also had an optional 9" with drums. These rears are about an inch narrower than your 69's rear.
