if you can find out from the person/dealer you bought it from if the 30K and 60K maintenance was done on it i would do that first. Why? because ford transmissions suck and if you flush it durring the 90 or 100K and it never was before theres a real good chance youve just fuccked yourself....saddly im speaking from experience, dont take it to ford because most WILL fucck you. since you just baught it chang the oil, spark pluggs, and maybe wires too especially if their still the stock ones. make sure all fluid levels are topped off and possably have a local mech take it for a drive, some if not most will do a "free" road test for you. as for those gehy headlights E-bay my boy you can't beat those prices as many sites will sell the same kits on e-bay for up to 10 to 20% cheaper in hopes that bidding will increase it

im not sure why it happened but with three seperate cars from for with 3 seperate trannys all 98's had the flushes as part of the buying a used car process/tune ups. and every single one had issues, both autos had missed shifts and would downshift all the way to 1st from OD going 70 for NO reason, and 3rd started grinding like a bihatch in the stick GT < before an auto swap) i took em all to a local trannyshop and the owner said if you don't keep up with changing the fluid and filters in the fords DON'T. i could be wrong but as for me and my now 2 fords (both autos though) they will keep the fluid they have unless a leak occurs. Best bet would be to ask around though like i said this is one persons experiences out of a thousand on this site. as for the E-bay tip, HELL YEAH!!!!! got a pair of HID's valued @ 300 dollars total for 120 shiped. thats less than half the website had em for and it was the same people
