Why have I not seen very many 96-98 cobras with a kenne bell. They are so popular on the 03-04 cobra, but not for older ones. How do they compare with procharger, or a vortec? (too lazy to look on thier web site right now, but is it a centrifical?)

They are a fun street blower...but there are a couple problems with the 96-98 KB's...For one, they max out at about 12psi just because they are only a 1.5L unit and don't push that much air...Another is they aren't intercooled like the 03's are and that's another reason why they aren't good with higher boost...Finally the 'open house' lower intake that comes with them isn't the best design, also limiting what you can get out of them...

That being said, if you are looking for between 360-400rwhp they are a good blower...That'll make them a low 12 second car...And they have full boost instantly unlike centrifugals which don't get full boost until upper RPMs...This makes the KB fun because of the low end that you get, which these cars do not have from the factory...
