I have a 96 Cobra and would like to know if there is a way to tell whether or not I have Bilstein shocks and struts on my car or not? I am going to lower with Ford Racing G springs and if I have Bilstein hardware, I am not going to buy new hardware, just use existing.

Does anyone know what was offered on the 96 Cobra convertible?

Hard to know if you have aftermarket Bilsteins on your car, but the factory shocks / struts on 96s were MotorCraft branded Monroes. If you have Bilsteins, the body of the shock / strut will be yellow and the dustcovers for the exposed portions of the pistons will likely be blue (though I have seen some black dust covers).
