SO I don't usually wander over here, BUT I sold my 78 King Cobra and I found a 96 Mystic Cobra that I might consider buying. Here's the lowdown on the car.

    96K miles
    4.10 gears with speedo corrected
    O/R X pipe with flowmasters
    lowered 2" with Eibach springs
real 17x9 Cobra R chrome wheels

Paint/body/interior are VERY nice, no dents or dings I could find. Here's where it gets a little sticky. I noticed one of the VIN tags was missing off the passenger fender so I ran a carfax. was wrecked in '03 and front bumper/fender was replaced. I drove the car, seemed fine, no pulling/stopped straight. He was asking $10K and I told him I could do maybe $8K, he is supposed to call me back tomorrow. Too much $$ or is it worth it? I like the look of the car and I couldn;t tell by fender/hood alignment that it was replaced, I just noticed the VIN tag was gone.

I ended up giving him $8500 for the car...and I love it, quick, handles decent, and cool color.

Decent deal, considering it was front end wrecked. I got mine for $9k in decent condition, its getting repainted to be showroom here in January. I purchased a gallon of the Mystic paint through BASF for $1,470.00.

Seems a bit high but if your satisfied then it shouldn't matter.

I've always been into mystic cobras I like the 96 not really the newer mystic which to me looks very different and not really appealing to me. I was wondering I'm looking at a 96 mystic with 45,000 an s trim vortech and maximum 3 link he wants 12,000 for it. I was thinking of offering 8500 maybe 9000 at most. The blue book is 7100 with mystic I dont know how much it adds but, surely not 6000?
