    Hi -

Does anyone know how to replace the thermostat in the 97 V6 motor? I am relatively mechanically inclined and think it should be a basic fix but nit totally sure. Any help or resources are appreciated.

    Thanks

Sorry I can't tell you the steps, but if you get a Haynes or Chiltons manual that should show you how.

    easy does it

its really easy i have a 96 v6 and right in the center of the motor on top where the radiator hose connects is the thermostat housing its attached with two bolts using a 10mm socket loosen them up and then take of the hose you should see the thermostat but note put it back on the same way u took it off. When goin to get a new one make sure to get a fail safe thermostat with the o-ring and gasket. and some rtv silicone then bam its just plain out easy.
