I know im in the wrong talk section, but I am trying to help a customer out. We @ our store just installed some new wheels and tires on her Stang and she has some questions about what exhaust to run. Her queen is stock with less than 10k on the ticker. Also has a 5spd vert. A Beauty I may add:hail2:
Anyway we were talking and I let her hear mine, you can see my lite mods in my sig. She liked it but thought it was a bit louder than what she wanted. So my suggestion to her was to replace the mufflers 1st, then work her way foward:shrug: . What have you guys/gals found that is best for this vert.
Be nice, I have told her about our site and she may visit to check the reply's.
Maybe we can get her to post some pics of the COBRA:nice:

Thanks in advance for your help:flag:

3 chamber flows....someone who is not a gear head will like the way those sound.

Magnaflows (or any type of straight through muffler design) for power gains, but since exhaust is such a subjective matter, she'll have to pick whatever exhaust note/tone sounds best to her ears.

Starting with mufflers or a catback system is a good "first mod" if she's not too fond of replacing the entire exhaust system...

    I agree.

9 years ago, they were the first mod I did to my 5.0 and even my ex liked the way they sounded. Nice and mellow with a hint of power. Suggest a Flowmaster Force 2 kit.

3 chamber flows would be ideal IMO

If noise is an issue i would recommend 3 chamber flowmaster as well or Magnaflows. With a catted H pipe neither will be loud at all and will have a little rumble when she gets on it.

I had 3 chambers on my current Cobra when I bought it and with a stock H pipe, she sounded good. I justed needed more hp.
