my freind blew his motor...and now hes selling the whole thing, but he has an extra hood and i was wondering if it would fit my 96 both of our cars are v6's.....? and is there any parts in his motor that can be swapped into mine to give me more power?
If you can swap the intakes, that would give you more horse. Switching to the split port intake gives about 40-50 hp alone. The hoos will not fit directly, I have heard of some people modifying, but it takes alot of work.
In order to do the "Split Port Swap," that cruisin is talking about, you need to swap the heads, and intake manifolds, as well as modify the fuel rail among other things. It's pretty complicated, but you would pick up a lot of power, that's for sure. Oh, and no, the hood won't fit.
I seen a 95 with a whole 2000 front end it looked like poo because there were two totally different body lines from the 95 doors to the 99+ fenders.
