I have a 99 convertible that I plan on throwing a S/C 4.6L Aluminum DOHC motor in. I want to get a Roush body kit because it seems that it would allow in more air than a Cobra and its cheaper (and sexier in my opinion), plus it's platic unlike most of the fiberglass ebay crap. I know when putting in an intercooler I already have to modify the front bumper on a 99, but would the Roush BK interfere? I'm thinking a stock-sized one. The Roush BK also has side exit exhaust, I was wondering if it made the rear rims dirty or blackened? I'm looking at 18x10.5 in the rears so they may stick out a little further than stock. Also dealing with side exits; I plan on getting full-length sub-frame connectors and wanted to see if anyone knew if they interfered with each other? As for other mods I plan on a tubluar front end kit and coil-pvers with Bilsteins up front, not sure on rear suspension yet. I know it will have to fit the IRS and I would prefer it to be adjustable, but would sacrifiece for perfomance. I want IRS as I plan to do dsome heavy duty turning, like road courses and such. I want to upgrade the brake system to be better than stock Cobra. I will of course have stainless steel braided lines. But as to calipers, unsure. Any suggestions? I'm also looking at rotors, obviously wanting slotted / cross-drilled / dimpled. Pads- I was thinking Hawk's. I'm looking to sped maybe $12k-$15k including upgraded motor in stages over the next 3-4 years. I'm thiking $3k-$4k for suspension, $1k for brakes, $3k for 6sp bullet-proofed trans, $3k-$4k on motor / SC parts, $1k for Roush kit (painted), and between $1k-$3k for anything I'm missing. Not sure on how much on exhaust I wanna spend. Also computers and such will have to be added in pricing. I'm trying to plan it all first so its done right the first time. If you see any problems I'm not thinking of or anything I haven't consided, drop a line.
