This? Amazon.com: The Wall: 1980-1981 (Live): Pink Floyd: Music and this: http://shopping.msn.com/prices/is-t...ere-anybody-out-there-the-wall-live-1980-1981
I did find various dvd's, cd's, combo paks: PINK FLOYD - Buy rare CD/DVD Music Online in Largest Store. They are overseas. This is a dvd http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=6822102&style=movie&cart=801618534 still no 'live 1980' Don't know about the quality: http://www.stellarproducts.biz/piflwalieaco.html
I have some of the Pink Floyd dvds...I got mine off ebay. Also check out Roger Water's dvds (former Pink Floyd member). Later.
Can't find any DVD's of the concert.... even though I know there was a Beta (like VHS, waaaaaaaaayyyy before DVD's) tape of the concert out. Closest I could find was THIS DVD, which was a screenplay based off (and using) a lot of Pink Floyd classics. I watched this in sometime like '82 or '83, at the Student Union theater at UofAZ. Didn't want to go, but my girlfriend at the time (now known around here as Mrs StangDreamin') who wanted to go with some of her older College of Nursing buddies. I remember sitting there mumbling "Sonofab****!" while watching it; actually a cool flick. CAUTION: REFERENCE TO "THE CLOSET"! Oh yeah, you can't mention Pink Floyd around here without me thinking of a few lines from "Dark Side of the Moon"..... "...You lock the door And throw away the key There's someone in my head but it's not me...."
Heck, if you act real fast, you can give him an early Christmas present and go with him to see the Australian Pink Floyd Show this Sat, 11/22/08 08:00 PM Dodge Theatre Phoenix, AZ. http://www.livenation.com/edp/eventId/336322
I don't know if there is a DVD out for it, but they did a concert in London which was the entire "Darkside of the Moon" album in order, back in 1994. I caught a bit of it recently on the local PBS station.....tough to watch on TV with all the fund drive interruptions! BTW: Your Dad has good taste in music!
Unless it has to include every band member, Pulse is amazing. Amazon.com: Pink Floyd - Pulse: David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, Guy Pratt, Dick Parry, Tim Renwick, Jon Carin, Gary Wallis, Sam Brown, Claudia Fontaine, Durga McBroom, David Mallet, Elizabeth Flowers, James Guthrie, Lana Topham, Stephen O' I bought it after seeing Waters live and I love it even though Waters is missing from the DVD.
